this morning #1493.
this morning, the digging began. my editor & i had come up with a plan to investigate the sketchy circumstances surrounding the fire. a strategy, really. for now, we wouldn’t get the authorities involved. no need to at this juncture. sure, the husband had threatened us with a gun but we both knew that the second we went to the cops with that info, they’ll make an arrest. word on the street is that they’re already suspicious & searching for an excuse to haul him in. once that happens, informational channels are bound to dry up. we need to be able to talk to people without them fearing that they might be next suspect up for arrest. for now, we’ll keep our distance. do our own investigation. find out who the hell this family is.
