this morning #149.

this morning, visions of millions of grains of sand spread out as far as the eye could see colored his aimless wanderings through the desert. things did not look good for his future well-being. his water supply had run out just over twenty-four hours earlier, so it was safe to say he would soon transition from exhausted to hallucinating to screwed. it was a fitting ending for a respected hydrologist who’d always been searching for something. now he had nothing. no water. no hope. no idea where he was. this was not the sexy outback adventure he’d been fantasizing about since childhood. it had all gone sideways. at least he would perish knowing that god has a sense of humor after all.
