this morning #1425.

this morning, i finally got the balls to break up our barbershop quartet. it was time. RIP, barry & the tones. on every single wednesday morn for as long as i can remember, we’d been getting together in the church basement to practice. these days, half of our time down there is spent screwing around. that’s why, all these years later, we’re still not famous. not even close. it took a while for me to admit that we needed to cut our losses. we’d had a good run. there once was a time when the guys treated the group with the level of respect that a barbershop quartet deserves. we’re stuck in a rut. haven’t come up with new material since releasing “shave a little love for me.” at least we got a tiny taste of fame.
