this morning #1379.

this morning, i had a lot of pressing questions. yesterday, a threatening message had been left in my mailbox in the form of a ten-page letter. typed. single-spaced. no postage. no return address. author unknown. it’d sat there all night in a pile of unopened mail that’d accumulated over the past week. when i poured this morn’s first cup of coffee, i took it out to the porch. on my way out, i grabbed the pile. sat down to start sorting through it, expecting only junk & bills. from the outside, the fifth piece from the top looked innocent enough. plain white envelope. if anything, maybe a little weighty. on the inside though, i discovered five thousand sinister words designed to send shivers down my spine.
