this morning, he had to pick a song & stick with it. his youtube fans were waiting & he didn’t want to disappoint, so he launched into a cover of the beatles’ “good morning.” he had nothing to say but it’s ok. this youtube thing had really turned life around for him. before this, the street corners & half-empty bars of his depressing midwest city didn’t pay the bills. thank god for google ads. hallelujah for algorithms. they paid his rent & bought his weed & earned him thousands of teenage fans who referred to themselves as “fluffers” with no sense of irony. he brought it on himself by opting to go by “fluffy g” instead of just using the name his parents gave him. “glen dover” was rife with possibility.
