this morning #1339.

this morning, sheets of rain poured off the roof & rocketed on past my bedroom window. foreboding. if this was any other day but today, i’d call in sick. stay cozy at home & avoid this shit. the team needs me to lead them through the new procedures though. VERY important to the future of the business. not the sort of thing that you can just push off to a more convenient day. a lot of people have said that spearheading this transition is my ticket to bigger things & there’s no need to derail that potential advancement just because it’s raining out. i peered out the window & watched. damn. it’s really coming down out there. i’ll just have to push through. “i don’t want to get wet” is not a valid excuse.
