this morning #132.

this morning, the grass was greener on the other side. on the other hand, her other half felt bland & blue, so what colored her view? it had been weeks since she’d been satisfyingly touched. months since her last haircut. hours since she last went to the bathroom. years since she’d taken a vacation. generations since she spoke french. in the early morning hours, she was souring on the idea that we were put here to serve a purpose. she took customer service calls from the kitchen table in their childless apartment & he dealt auto parts part-time at a strip mall. their purpose was worthless. maybe her grass was greener than she thought though. at least she could drink at work.
