this morning, i wasted no time. set things straight. as far as matters of the heart go, i’m a total expert. overly experienced. there’s no debate there. antarctica aside, i’ve loved men on every single continent. broke a heart or two. had mine broken too. been there. done that. as such, if i’m in a committed relationship, there’s not a lot that that other human can do to fool me. i see right through anyone who’s not being truthful. he smiled & nodded. acknowledged my knowledge. thanked me for being so honest on our first date. said he hates it when he has to play the guessing game. direct communication is what’s up. i said i agreed, so he offered up a few truths. i wish he hadn’t offered up the last two.
