this morning, as soon as we stepped into the dining room, there it was. big, bold signage announcing its arrival. questionable choice of font. A TASTE OF ASIA. ugh. the corporation that runs this place decided to get creative. a fresh menu entirely comprised of asian-themed breakfast items. i perused it & quickly concluded that said items were of dubious cultural authenticity. PHILADELPHIA BREAKFAST SUSHI. cream cheese. lox. capers. in sushi form. just like in japan. CHOP SUEY SPAM & EGGS. spam. veggies. eggs. stir-fried & served over rice. the way they do in…china? the philippines? THE BOBA FETE. a boba tea party. there we go. i’ll have that based on the level of cleverness of the name alone.
