this morning #1220.
this morning, the sob story he was casually rehashing was actually a mashup of two less-significant tales combined for dramatic effect. he started by recounting how he’d had to fight for his life. it’s true. he had. that was one hell of a year. i thought i had some idea about where he was headed with this but then he abruptly switched gears & veered off into an account of his middle east era. in his time there, he hadn’t had to fight for anything at all let alone his life. i get that he needed a better setting. connecticut is a wholly unsexy setting for a dance with death. all those racist comments about the quality of health care in other countries was a bit unnecessary though.
