this morning #118.

this morning, she was starving, not for foodstuffs but for one of life’s shiny apples to finally fall at her feet & sate her. fate held the top spot in her life philosophy. action was a distant fourth. joy & apathy bridged the widening gap between the two. as a card-carrying pisces, she felt other people’s pain more intensely than most. empathy had become a burden. this morning, it had finally broken her down. to break it down, her mother’s mind was slowly shutting down. her father’s body ached with every step. the morning headline…a fresh bombing. everyone was hurting. fate needed to step in soon. stop the pain. shift the burden. something had to give. she had no more to give.
