this morning, believe me. that breezy barista is not as into you as you assume. she’s just friendly, full of life, trying to make her day interesting with a smile & some quick conversation. i’ve traveled down that rocky road before, tried to cross the customer service divide & turn a simple interaction into more than what it actually is. don’t go there, man. it’s a transaction. that’s all. she’s not coming to work every day hoping this’ll be the day that she finds her soulmate. trust me. she seems nice but i wouldn’t want to see you get your hopes up, your heart broken. you’re my friend & i don’t want to see you get hurt all over again. i’d like to ask that you not do anything rash but i know that that’s a lot of me to ask.
