this morning #1092.

this morning, dad lifted me up & propped me onto his shoulders & we shouted out: TOP OF THE WORLD! off we went, me holding tight to the sides of his big, bushy beard as we navigated our way across the park completely at my direction. on the weekends, he lets me take the reins. by giving his facial hair a gentle tug, he knows which way i want to go. no words needed. i pulled us off to the left, down toward the pond so we could say good morn to the ducks. about halfway down the path, off on the grass, we came across a family. a boy & a girl & two adults. the girl looked sad. i tried to steer dad toward them to see if she was ok but he ignored my command, said “let’s just go see the ducks.”
