this morning #1057.
this morning, instead of waiting for the great cave-in to bury all of us beneath, i fled. headed north. scared of sticking around. left the rest of them fools behind. left them in the dust. got mine & got out. didn’t wait to find out how it all played out. there’ll be plenty of time to survey the damage at a later date. there will be damage. no need for me to be swept up in the wave of chaos. it’s not my problem now. i’d tried to talk them out of it. they just wouldn’t listen. their undoing will be their greed, their wild wave of want over need. not me though. i’m better than that. much smarter than that. i think. when the police lights appeared in my rearview mirror, i knew i was about to find out.
