this morning #1027.
this morning, i was flying down the highway, chugging coffee, trying to wake the hell up, watching the backsides of buildings pass by. factory. greenhouse. auto body shop. quick blips of businesses from the back. the side usually unseen. no human activity. random garbage. stacks of cardboard. forgotten rusted buckets. tangles of ivy branches crawling up the walls. all of us motorists just going past & going about our days indifferent to what’s hidden behind these buildings even when it’s right there for us to see. we’re really only concerned about the front sides, the fronts that those business owners put up. business in the front. no party in the back. just secrets & shame. it’s the human way.
