this morning #1021.

this morning, as long as i don’t step off the edge of these stairs, there’s no reason for me to be scared. i just have to take my time, wait until the danger passes or dad helps me out. there’s lava down there! lava everywhere. molten. steaming. hot. one of my friends told me about this one boy who, like a fool, thought he could brave the lava without being properly prepared. he was showing off to his friends. “i’m not afraid, guys. watch.” stepped right off without saying the magic words first. melted right into the sidewalk. i haven’t learned the magic words yet. my other friend swears that she knows them but she won’t tell me. i don’t think she really knows.
